The vulnerability stems from the app.EnableBasicAuth function lacking validation when handling empty string arguments. When the username or password is not configured correctly, the system still registers an empty-credential record and returns nil, so an attacker can pass authentication by sending a Basic Auth header containing a Base64-encoded colon. This bypasses access control and grants direct access to protected resources, posing a serious risk to confidentiality and integrity.
Component
gofr is a high-performance microservice framework built in Go, designed to simplify RESTful API development and provide a standardized application architecture. Its core components include an HTTP server, a middleware chain, and a configuration management system, with support for dependency injection and modular design. It is mainly used to quickly build scalable backend services, protecting API access through built-in authentication middleware.
When implementing basic authentication logic, developers should strictly validate that input parameters are non-empty, immediately abort the authorization flow and raise an explicit error for an empty username or password, and improve unit test coverage of boundary conditions so that misconfigurations trigger the expected security block instead of silently degrading.

eladmin SQL injection via malicious SQL file upload leads to database data disclosure and tampering
An attacker uses the POST /api/database/upload endpoint to upload a .sql file containing maliciously crafted SQL statements. The SqlUtils.batchExecute() method does not parameterize or filter the input and calls Statement.addBatch() directly to execute the raw SQL. Because there is no effective input validation, the attacker can execute arbitrary SQL commands, including stealing user credentials such as usernames and password hashes from the sys_user table, resulting in sensitive information disclosure and damage to database integrity.
Component
eladmin is an open-source admin back-office system based on Spring Boot. Its architecture integrates a database maintenance module that supports multi-tenant or remote database connection management. The component provides convenient batch execution of SQL scripts, letting users upload .sql files through the web interface to be parsed and executed automatically, which simplifies operations such as database initialization, schema changes, and data migration and makes database interaction in development and test environments more efficient.
Use prepared statements instead of directly concatenating and executing SQL, strictly limit the types of SQL statements that can be executed, apply an allowlist to filter dangerous keywords, and sandbox-inspect the content of uploaded files to ensure they contain only permitted DDL/DML operations.

Remote code execution in an HTTP server via crafted requests leads to full server takeover
This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target server by sending crafted HTTP requests. Because incoming requests are not strictly validated and filtered, maliciously crafted HTTP packets can directly trigger server-side code execution logic, resulting in remote code execution (RCE). All target servers without mitigations in place are affected. An attacker can launch the attack remotely without authentication and without user interaction. Once exploited successfully, the attacker gains full control of the server and can steal sensitive data, plant backdoors, or move laterally to other systems on the internal network.
Component
The affected HTTP server component handles client network requests and is the core entry point through which web applications interact with the outside world.
Risks
Complete system control: An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the target server and, depending on the privileges the service runs with, install malicious programs, view/change/delete data, or create new fully privileged accounts
No user interaction: An attacker only needs to send a crafted HTTP request to trigger the vulnerability, without the victim clicking or interacting with anything
Remote exploitation: An attacker can launch the attack remotely over the internet, without physical access or local network access
